In addition to general papers, we welcome submissions on special themes. Papers will first be published on line — when a body of papers on a particular theme is available print publication is planned.
Themes are continuing and papers can be submitted at any time. Papers will be published in the next available general issue or in special theme issue, as suitable. The deadline for the next general issue of the journal is October 11 2020.
The goal, with all themes, is for a necessary role of semiotic analysis. While concepts and methods have been applied, and integrated, in many fields, it can be argued that a case for a more dominant role for semiotics in particular areas can be made. The themes below overlap, and also allow theoretical and philosophical approaches. Reviewers with specialist knowledge of relevant topics will be involved.
Themes are: 1) Semiotic Anthropology 2) Education and Semiotics 3) Technology. 4) Communication and Performativity 5) Internationalism 6) Artistic Review
