Abstract
The article gives an review of the International Bakhtin Conference “Street Theatre vs Theatre of Military Actions” held in Moscow on October 16–18, 2019 and review of Collection of scientific proceedings which includes materials of the Conference Plenary Session on the Development and Transformation of Modern Theatre, Entertainment Forms and Theatrical Art; Conference All-Russian (with international participation) Seminar “Carnival and Game Potential of Personality in the Digital Age”; Conference International Round Table “Relevance of M.M. Bakhtin’s ideas in the modern information society”. The Conference was devoted to the understanding of carnival and playful potential of science, culture, theater art through the prism of the philosopher’s works. The author believes that the themes of carnival and revolution, carnival and politics, discussed at this conference, were just an occasion to come to the understanding and articulation of the idea of the peacekeeping mission of street theater in the modern information world. The author believes that such, at first glance, almost ritual walk through such memory machine as conference and сollection of scientific proceedings, gives an opportunity not to interrupt the continuity in the research tradition, prevents to be closed in own narrow-pedantic approaches to Bakhtin
