This is a call for submissions for papers on the theme of Performativities. The term is regarded as it has been established in literature as a rubric covering a wide range of areas in Interaction Studies, Pragmatics, Symbolic Interactionism, Commmunication and Discourse (in several meanings of the term), and Conversation Analysis and Social Linguistics – all of which involve key semiotic concepts and authors (starting with Charles Peirce and Mikhail Bakhtin ). In the tradition of Irving Goffman, the term involves comparative approach to theatrical events and creative arts, of various genres. Thus a wide invitation for studies and commentaries on artistic endeavours is welcomed.  In addition media, as a tool for analysis, and in representational televisual and cinemagraphic formats, have become central modes for observing and  understanding interaction events. A robust and contemporary approach to interpersonal events is necessary to assess many adumbrated forms of personalization evidenced in digital media. Theoretical papers, including philosophical and theological perspectives, welcome.

The review team will include Nicoleta Blanariu, Geoffrey Sykes, Susan Petrilli, Paul Ryder and Elena Semenova.
